I fell in love with the Officiate!
Remember that Pirate wedding I told you about a few months back?
Well, I promised that I would tell you about the wedding officiate and so here it goes….
Since our first meeting on May 15th 2019 we have traveled almost 40,000 miles back and forth from Seattle to Las Vegas and to parts of the county – even to Mexico, to see each other. I would have to admit that he (Michael) was a bit more forward than I, about building a relationship. I myself, was busy with my event planning company and had taken a break from dating after the last heart break a year and a half prior. I was not looking for a relationship but, since the day I met Michael, I became so interested in getting to know him.
He is the same type of crazy, the same type of spontaneous, the same type of silly and the same type of fun! My mom would says “I finally found someone who can keep up with me”!
We decided in August of 2019 that we would seal the deal and I got to meet his kids. The three of them flew up to Seattle and we enjoyed an extended weekend walking around Greenlake having lunch at Lunchbox Laboratory and visiting a few of my favorite beaches. His daughter and I made of a silly walk that we still do to this day.
As time progressed we would fly to see each other at least once a month. I got to meet his dad and he met me in St Louis to attend my cousin’s Son’s Wedding. With each visit we fell deeper and deeper in love.
Who knew that this heart broken, 37 year old Wedding & Event Planner could find love…. true love! I loved getting us matching Pajamas over the Christmas holiday and planning outings to the museums, movies and hikes.
We as love progresses, ours did and with the shut down of events in the early Spring of 2020, Michael and I Eloped! It was exactly 1 year from the date we met, May 15th 2020 at Adams Manor. We have had a crazy start to our life together with so many elements unpredictable but we have held on tight and pushed through the tough times and celebrating the good times.
I am now learning how to adapt as a wife and a new step mom to two amazing kids and also with the changes of the event industry.
I fell in love with the Pirate wedding officiate!
