Getting Certified

When I started this business, there were no degrees of certification courses to be an event planner. Someone suggested that I would be good at it…so I did it! Almost 8 years later and a breathtaking journey filled with many laughs and cries and ups and downs, I took the plunge and got certified!
Over the last few years I must admit I have begun to get burnt out. My body does not handle the long hours of standing and lifting like it used to and I have learned that I am not invincible!
I saw a flash ad for a certification course which came up at the perfect time. I knew I needed something to refuel me, but I didn’t know what that was. I have hired help in the office and on the event day which even though it has helped it has also added expenses. With a team that is now dependent on my guidance and management, how could I go on like this. Tired, pained, overwhelmed….
I found the CWP course through the The Bridal Society and it was exactly what I was looking for. I was shown that my processes that I developed in the beginning were in fact good processes and I needed to go back and utilize them. Why fix a wheel that is not broken, right?
I was filled with motivation and ideas to try new things and go back to old systems that worked. I got my confidence back that I in fact know what I am doing and I am really good at it. I also and most importantly learned of some bad habits and some character defects that I can work on.
I can’t thank the organization enough for all I have learned, seen and heard.
