We All Belong
Since 2009, the owner of Kita Events Northwest has been a bus driver for the Snohomish County Emergency Cold Weather Shelter. Just like the families KNW works with for their events, we believe that everyone in the community is family. A portion of the proceeds from events planned throughout the year go to the shelter to buy necessities such as socks, blankets, toothpaste, and a whole lot more to keep this service running each year. Like the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” We believe, “It takes a village to raise a family!”
What is the We All Belong Story?
Well...
Simply put: Homeless individuals need to come in from the cold for a warm breakfast. They are chilled to the bone, red noses, blue fingers. That’s how it began in 2008. That’s all it took for a couple of individuals working at Trinity Lutheran Church’s Saturday morning community breakfast to take action.
Today, more than 1280 bed-nights are provided for over 50 individuals living in or around the Lynnwood/Edmonds area. Each guest is provided a hot dinner, mattress and blanket, a warm smile, and morning breakfast, any night the temperatures drops below 34 degrees.
We All Belong is staffed entirely by volunteers that have a heart for those who suffer and have a special concern for the plight of the homeless. Volunteers come from all walks of life, cultures and economic levels, but their compassion is the binding glue that now has over 150 people involved.
The shelter has moved many times in its short history but has found a wonderful home at the Edmonds Senior Center, on the Edmonds waterfront, next to the ferry terminal. We are eternally grateful to this wonderful organization.

Welcome Home Outreach
From July 25th to August 5th, we will be in Mexico serving with Welcome Home Ministries Since 1982, Welcome Home Outreach Ministries has been spreading the love of Jesus Christ in the Vicente Guerrero region of Baja California Norte, Mexico. The ministry has grown from a bus to a tent, and now to a facility that covers half a city block. Initially an orphanage, Welcome Home now provides free Christian daycare to preschool-aged children of indigent farm workers. Additionally, they assist families and children by offering house building and repairs to those in need, with the help of visiting missions teams. The ministry also shares resources such as food bags, financial assistance, transportation for medical needs, and hot meals for individuals in need. All this is done in service to God as they give and serve in His name, according to His provision and guidance.
