Wedding Expos
First off…..CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement! We could not be more excited for you and hope to get the chance to support you through the planning process and on the full day of your wedding – from start to finish.
Even though we will not be attending the upcoming wedding shows this year we wanted to still connect with you to make sure your experience is a success!
Here are some tips for you to make your upcoming wedding expo the best experience it can be as you visit the NW BRIDAL SHOWCASE ,The Seattle Wedding Show, WEDDINGS IN WOODINVILLE and so many others.
#1 Plan Ahead: Get a clear objective of if you are going to just observe and get ideas or if you are looking for specific vendors. If you are looking to book some vendors, start with your venue. That will give you a solid date and you will know what types of amenities come with that venue so that you can inform your other vendors.
For example: Your cater is going to need to know if there is a commercial kitchen, a prep kitchen or a space for final touches. They cannot be booked without a solid date. Also, your cater should be focused on the type of foods you want and the vision you have, not how much money you have to spend.
#2 Pre-register: You can go to the website (some links above) of the Expo that you are interested in and pre-register. This will cut back on the long lines to get in when you already have your tickets. You also will have to option to sign up for the vendors to contact you or to opt out.
Another way to prepare for the big expo is to have pre-printed address labels that you can peel and stick when giving vendors your information or for signing up for free stuff, discounts and promos. Don’t forget to include you and your partner’s first and last name, wedding date (if you have on) and your guest count.
There will be a lot to look at and possibly become overwhelming. This will help you bypass what you don’t need and focus on the vendors and services that you really want.
#3 Have a fun time: As vendors, we plan for months to make our booths look appealing to couples and a fun experience for you. So, be openminded, sign up for stuff, get swag and enjoy the show, attend the fashion shows, spin the wheels, enter the drawings, talk with the vendors you are interested in. We want to get to know you as best we can but it is hard to do with thousands of people coming by the booth. Let us contact you, take you out for coffee and really start to build a relationship with you. It is the best way we can serve you.
We wish you a very happy wedding show season and want to extend the hand so if you need any help navigating through all the steps of planning your wedding, we are here to support you and your family during this exciting time!
